French beans are the most popular choice among vegetables of the bean family. It can be cooked in multiple ways: sauteed with onions and potatoes, stir fried with coconut, or simply boiled with a pinch of turmeric and salt. It is a good source of protein, thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, copper, and dietary fiber. It is also rich in vitamin A,B6, C and K.
